Workforce
Employment is a key social determinant of health, whether it provides income, insurance coverage. Roots believes that governmental entities should use their public funds to procure goods and services from organizations and businesses that provide workforce opportunities for disadvantaged individuals, including the formerly incarcerated individuals goods and otherwise spent on good services, should be directed to support greater employment.
