In fact, they will now be able to use the Affordable Insurance Exchanges (AIE) system. The AIE system will allow for your entire family to use the same application instead of having to use a seperate application for every family member.

3. Psychiatric Coverage

From 2014-2017 the act is funding a demonstration project in California. This project will expand coverage to treat psychiatric emergencies in a psychiatric hospital settings. If you or someone in your family has a mental illness, they will be able to have a hospital stay without burdening you with the cost.

4. Services for Pregnant Women to Quit Smoking

The new act offers free services to help mothers-to-be stop smoking while pregnant. This is offered without cost sharing to ensure the health of the newborn. These services include counseling and pharmacotherapy.

5. Hospice and Curative Care for Children

The new law will make sure that children are able to receive their curative treatment if they elect for hospice benefits and the child is enrolled in CHIP.
